PWHS Softball tryouts are Monday 2/24 @ 6:00. Participants will first report to the weight room located at the hitting facility. There will be a meeting for Softball players' parents later this week TBD.

This announcement is a reminder to Portsmouth West High School students and parents. On Tuesday, February 25th, West High School will be on a 2-hour delay due to the administration of the state mandated ACT exam given to Juniors. This delay applies only to high school students. Buses will run on a regular schedule. Juniors taking the ACT should report to the high school library at 8 a.m.

Reminder: There will be a final girls' basketball game Saturday, 2/22/20, at 2:00pm. Senior girls' basketball players will be recognized at this game.

Reminder to high school students: Wed., 2/19, will be "Dress for Success" day. Dress in your most professional/spiffy attire to earn Focus 3 points for the quarterly field trips.

The PWHS Swim Team will host an open swim and pizza party at SSU 2/26, 4:30-6:30pm. This is open to any West student (with a good physical) in grades 8-11. We are looking to recruit for the 20-21 season! If interested, bring goggles, swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes.

The Girls basketball game at West on Saturday 2/8 will now have a JV start time of 2PM. JV will play only 2 quarters and the Varsity game will follow.

The JV/Varsity girls basketball games at West originally scheduled for 2/3 have been moved to Saturday 2/8. The JV game will start at noon and will only be 2 quarters so the varsity game will likely start around 1PM.
