The Orange and Black rolls on!!!

In order to encourage students to develop a routine and maintain contact with their teachers during virtual learning, beginning tomorrow we will begin issuing a "daily check-in" form sent through the student email on virtual learning days. Students will be required to complete this form by 12pm daily in order to check in with the school. Included in the form are questions regarding student wellness as well as academic progress. This check-in will be tied to daily attendance. It's extremely important that your child completes this form daily. Please help your student to remember to check in daily on their email to complete this form. Thank you, Portsmouth West High School Administration

Congratulations to the football team as they rolled to a 41-12 victory over Frankfort Adena. Next up for the Orange and Black will be the Wellston Golden Rockets, this Friday at Wellston. Kickoff is at 7:00.

Portsmouth West High School wishes our Miss West 2021 Madison Russell the best of luck in the River Day's Pageant on Saturday, Sept. 4.

To the families and Class of 2025,
Welcome to the new school year. I hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are ready to get back to school. This is a new chapter in your life. The next four years will be filled with new challenges and great memories. Right now, no doubt a lot of things are going through your mind. With that there is a feeling of anxiety. Relax, everything is going to be alright. Each of us at Portsmouth West has been in your shoes. Don’t ever hesitate to talk to your instructors if you are having problems understanding the lesson material that they are presenting to you. You are coming to a school where the staff is very friendly. Our job is to prepare and support you, so you will be ready to contribute to society once you graduate in 2025. That date will be here before you know. Until then, enjoy each day, participate in all activities that you can without over extending yourself. We will see you Wednesday morning.
Take Care, Chris Rapp
