Portsmouth West High School is offering students the opportunity to make-up credits over the summer as a part of the "Senator Summer Camp" being offered by the high school. Students who failed to earn credit in core classes (science, math, English, and social studies) may take these courses over the summer in order to alleviate stress in future semesters.
Summer School will operate from July 5th to August 5th. Students will attend classes 5 days a week with a “field trip” scheduled for each Friday.

The girls softball tournament game scheduled for Saturday has changed locations to Piketon High School. The game will still be played at 2:00pm.

Graduation will be live streamed to the district youtube channel. A direct link will be posted to the school webpage and facebook on the day of graduation, Friday May 20th.

The rain date will be Saturday, May 21st at 7:00 in the stadium.
If we have rain on Saturday, the ceremony will be Sunday, May 22nd 2:00 in the gymnasium.
We will livestream this event. Details will be on our school website on Tuesday.

Ohio University Southern is hosting the 2022 Bobcat Academy: eclectic youth workshops and opportunities to develop leadership, academic, and imaginative skills.
Explore ten innovative programs, including the Building Bridges Summer Institute, Nursing 101, Bobcat Strong, The Young Writers Workshop, Amateur Theater Workshop, Spanish Language and Culture Workshop, The Science of the Wizarding World, Photo Editing, The Elements and You, and Measure the Height of a Tree!
The Bobcat Academy will be held at Ohio University Southern, 1804 Liberty Avenue, Ironton, Ohio, throughout June and July (please see course dates for further information).

Pre-orders for the 2022 Senatorian are being taken now through the end of May. The cost for the book is $50. You may pay this amount in full now, or pay $25 now and the remainder at a later time. You must order now to guarantee yourself a copy; extras will not be purchased this year!!! Limited copies of 2018 through 2021 are available at a discounted price.
