Pre-orders for the 2022 Senatorian are being taken now through the end of May. The cost for the book is $50. You may pay this amount in full now, or pay $25 now and the remainder at a later time. You must order now to guarantee yourself a copy; extras will not be purchased this year!!! Limited copies of 2018 through 2021 are available at a discounted price. Ohio University is launching a scholarship program for Pell-eligible first-year students with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA to cover the remaining cost of tuition and mandatory fees to earn a degree at one of OHIO’s five regional campuses, OHIO President Hugh Sherman announced today.
Those students will also be eligible for a guaranteed One OHIO scholarship should they choose to finish their degree by relocating to the Athens campus.
Application fees for regional campus locations will be waived through May 15, 2022.

NEXT TUESDAY MARCH 1st, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE JUNIOR CLASS PORTSMOUTH WEST HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE OPERATING ON A TWO HOUR DELAY IN ORDER FOR THE JUNIORS TO TAKE THE ACT. BUSES WILL RUN ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE. WHEN STUDENTS ARRIVE, THEY SHOULD GO DIRECTLY TO THE CAFETERIA AND NOT THEIR CLASSROOM. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD ENTER THE SCHOOL THROUGH THE GYMNASIUM FOYER ENTRANCE OR THE CAFETERIA ENTRANCE. THIS TWO HOUR DELAY IS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY.

In order to participate in College Credit Plus for the 2022-2023 school year, students must take the Accuplacer exam. PWHS will be offering the Accuplacer exam February 15 at 8:00am in the tiered room. Any student who needs to take the Accuplacer exam should sign up in the guidance office by February 9.
