Portsmouth West Re-Opening Plan is located on the school website under the COVID Portal. As of today, we will begin in ORANGE.
Group A will be at school on Monday and Tuesday. Group A will have remote learning on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Group A will be from the Highway 52 end of Carey's Run to Lett Terrace. Group A will also include all open enrollment students from Portsmouth City Schools.
Group B will be at school on Wednesday and Thursday. Group B will have remote learning on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Group B students live on Carey's Run down to Buena Vista. Group B will also include all other open enrollment students.
Chromebooks for attending students will be passed out the first day they attend.
Be sure all of your information is up to date in FinalForms as we will be using that information to keep you up to date.

Notices were sent by e-mail to students in grades 5-12 and through standard US mail to students K-4. Please read these notices carefully as they contain important information regarding the next steps required to get started with online learning. Parents of incoming Kindergarten students, 7th graders, and Seniors- Don’t forget to get your child’s required school immunizations before school begins on Tuesday, September 8th. Vaccinations are available at your Doctor’s office, Health Department, Kroger, Walmart, and CVS.
A reminder for all fall student-athletes and parents that information need to completed ASAP for participation.
Also, physicals must be completed by August 1. If not, students cannot participate. Physical forms can be printed off on Final Forms

FinalForms has been launched for the district. All K-12 existing parents should have received an email from FinalForms for you to register your account. New students parents can enroll their students using the link on the district website. All school forms, such as parent contact information, emergence medical forms, and athletic eligibility forms, need to be completed using FinalForms. We are having early season voluntary workouts and this is a great time for players to try the game no matter what experience level they have. Athletic participation is directly tied to critical information that must be entered by parents in Final Forms. Once you login parents/students can select sports that students are interested in. This will immediately add them to a teams roster.
Important information such as physicals, emergency medical, scheduling, etc will be stored.

Portsmouth West Middle School cheerleading tryouts will be held virtually this year. Practice videos are located on the high school cheer website to begin practicing. If you are interested in trying out you must register with Tracy Bauer at 740-464-8292 for further instructions. You must also complete your paperwork on FinalForms to be eligible.
PWMS cheer tryouts will be virtual this year. You can begin practicing by going to the high school website where the videos for the cheers, school song, and dance can be found. Also practice jumps such as toe touch and pike. If you plan to tryout for Jr. High Cheer you need to register with Tracy Bauer at 740-464-8292.

We are very excited to announce that the Washington-Nile Local School District has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service that will be replacing paper forms. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign enrollment, back-to-school and athletic participation forms for your students. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. For that reason we need accurate email addresses for parents of every student.
