Just a reminder to follow up with the recent email sent out from Guidance Office, and Mrs. Copley. Seniors, please submit your In-House Scholarships by May 1st. Follow the link from the High School Website, go to Guidance and click Scholarships, this will open up a google document that is a digital application, remember to add your Name to each scholarship. If you have any questions please email Mrs. Monteith, Mrs. Copley or Mr. Conrad.
2020-2021 Registration
Emails have been sent to each student in each grade level regarding registration for the 2020-21 school year. Students can click on the link provided in the email to begin registering classes. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Conrad at scott.conrad@westsenators.org
Governor DeWine announced the extension of the current school-building closure through Friday, May 1. We will continue distance learning during this time. All extracurricular activities (including Prom) are postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. We will continue to deliver meals each Monday at designated locations and have tech services from 4:00 – 6:30 each Tuesday in front of the high school.
Attention: Due to the most recent proclamation by Governor DeWine, West prom has been postponed.
Students, please continue to check your email and Google Classroom daily.
Students this is another reminder that you should be online by now with all of your teachers and completing online lessons. If you have not stated this process, please do so! Stay in touch with all of your teachers and correspond by email with any questions you may have in regards to assignments.
Beginning next Tuesday, March 31st our district will begin that evening a Chromebook drop-off/repair spot in front of the building. Every Tuesday thereafter at that time will be available for parents and students to drop off chrome books needing repair.

PWHS is now (March 19) open until 7 pm if any student needs to pick up a chromebook or any needed items from their lockers.
ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Anyone scheduled for the 4/4 date should receive an email in the next few days.
WASHINGTON-NILE MEAL DELIVERIES
In order to provide nutrition for our students, beginning Tuesday - March 17, 2020, Washington Nile Local School District will be providing meals to any youth in our district that is under the age of eighteen (18).
Due to state and federal guidelines, children must be present to receive the meal. You may “pick-up” meals at several locations throughout our district.

Notice: The Earl Thomas Conley memorial concert is postponed. The concert is now rescheduled for May 9.
The PWHS Symphonic Choir will present a choral tribute to Earl Thomas Conley by performing his music as well as featuring West alumni artists.

This announcement is a reminder to Portsmouth West High School students and parents. On Tuesday, February 25th, West High School will be on a 2-hour delay due to the administration of the state mandated ACT exam given to Juniors. This delay applies only to high school students. Buses will run on a regular schedule. Juniors taking the ACT should report to the high school library at 8 a.m.
