After their dominance at the the state level competition, PWHS Beta Club had high expectations for their performance at the National Beta Club Convention that was to be held in Fort Worth, TX, in June. Due to the current pandemic, students were unable to travel to the competition and had to submit their projects virtually. Though their work could not be judged in-person, the students' hard work shone through as evidenced by numerous PWHS Beta Club members placing in the top 10 in the nation! The results are as follows:
Haven Hileman was the national champion in Speech. Her speech topic was on positive peer pressure. She also placed 5th in Agriscience.
Angel Hammond placed 10th in Woodworking.
Chandler McClurg placed 6th in Creative Writing.
Allison Cooper placed 6th in Sculpture and 3rd in Color Photography.
