We are very excited to announce that the Washington-Nile Local School District has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service that will be replacing paper forms. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign enrollment, back-to-school and athletic participation forms for your students. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. For that reason we need accurate email addresses for parents of every student. Please follow the link and fill out the information so we can add it to your child's file.

The middle school will be collecting books and chrome books again today from 11 to 3. Today is the last day the building will be occupied. To avoid any charges, items need to be returned today. Thank you

Just a reminder that books and chrome books need to be dropped off at the middle school. Reports cards are available as well. We are at the cafeteria door until 6 this evening.

Information has been sent to 5-7th grade students through Google Classroom to sign up for Enrichment classes for next year.

The middle school will have times next week for parents and students to drop off books and Chromebooks. Report cards will be available at the same time. Wednesday and Thursday 1 to 6 and Friday 11 to 3. Please drive behind the building to the student drop off location. Someone will help you from there. Please remain in your vehicle and do not enter the building. Thank you

Today starts finals week. Please encourage you child to do well. The final exam grades go directly on the report card and count for 1/10th of the yearly average. Make sure all missing assignments are turned in by the end of this week.

There are still 12 eighth grade students who have not registered for high school. Today is the last day to register. Information was sent to student emails.

The governor has ordered schools to continue with distance learning, this does not mean school is closed for the year. Students are to continue working on assignments which are being graded and placed in Progress Book. The grades will count in the final average for the year. Teachers are reporting that some students need to catch up on their work. We need to work together to make this a success for our children.

Many parents have requested to be added to your child's Google Classroom. When you receive the invitation through email you must accept it. Then you will have the choice to set up daily or weekly notifications. If you do not accept the invitation, you will not receive any notifications.

Check your email. We have invited parents to their child's Google Classroom to receive summaries about their child's work. If you did not receive an invitation, we may not have your correct email address. Please send an email with your child's name in it to christopher.jordan@westsenators.org

Any parent that needs a Progress Book account set up, or needs a password, please email Mr. Jordan at christopher.jordan@westsenators.org

As we've reached the end of our second full week of distance learning, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the parents who are helping us from home. We are much better off than some other schools because of our experience using Google Classroom and Chromebooks and because our parents are committed to helping us make this process work. It takes a team effort. As we look forward, we know the next three weeks will be distance learning and I suspect it may be even longer. Thank you top the teachers for their hard work, which has been more hours than a typical school day. And thank you to the students for continuing to learn from home, even those that email me with questions at two in the morning. Everyone keep up the great work, stay safe, and have a great weekend.

As you have already heard, the stay at home order has been extended through May 1st. Teachers will continue distance learning as long as necessary. As a clarification, when the governor said no report cards, this was school report cards. Student report cards are still in place. Grades are being taken daily. Most students are completing their work in a timely manner. Thank you to the parents that are helping at home.

Teachers have reported that a number of students are not completing assignments in a timely manor. The assignments count and grades are being taken. Please ensure you child stays up to date with their work. We need to work together to maintain education. Thank you.

Not all students have checked in via Google Classroom. This concerns me as school will still take place, just online. I want to be sure all students are connected. Please check with your child to make sure they have checked in and joined my Google classroom class.
Thank you

There are still a number of students that have not checked in on Google Classroom. Please ask students to do so. We are trying to keep them engaged this week.

Good morning West Middle School. If you have not connected with your teachers electronically, please do so today. Check your email and Google Classroom accounts. If you need anything from the school, including Chromebooks, we are in from 9 to 2. Have a good day!

Congratulations to the PWMS Chamber Choir!! They received a superior rating at their competition at King’s Island on Friday. The judge working with the choir in this photo is Dr. Randall Wolfe, conductor of the West Chester Chorale in northern Cincinnati. He told the choir he kept having to double check to make sure he was listening to middle school and not high school. In his comments, he stated, “I could listen to this choir all day.“ The choir received superior ratings from all three judges.
