For Veteran’s Day this year there were a couple classes working together to create a Veteran’s Wall. The classes (Mrs. Callihan, ) wrote information about their family’s veterans or famous veterans and printed them out to create the Veteran's Wall. The wall is located by the cafeteria restrooms. The wall is continued by the History class restrooms. Click below for pictures.

In celebration of Day of the Dead, Sra Bloomers classes watched a video about the holiday and then watched the popular film The Book of Life. Her classes also celebrated November 2 by cooking Buñuelos.  Buñuelos are deep fried dough balls, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, that are popular in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries. Son deliciosos!!!

The Senators football team collected over 1,000 food and clothing items for our very own "Westmart" this year.  These donations will be used to make Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for a few needy families in our school district.  We (Westmart)  just want to thank Coach Ben Johnson his staff and the West Football Team for all their fine efforts and donations for those in need.

Students in Mr. Ralstin’s biology class were given a project, where they were to demonstrate a cell membrane. Where Molly Taylor represented the transport protein which was carrying the energy to the proteins. Thats why when she reached the end everyone was very active, representing proteins by being hypertonic.

Biology students demonstrate how protein is converted into energy.
